* New York City Public School Students
-Programs that teach reading, writing and other subjects, including the
arts, to students who attend New York City public schools

Grant Application Process

The first step is to prepare a two to three page letter describing the following:

* nature and importance of the problem to be addressed

* approach to be taken

* criteria for measuring the project's success

* amount requested

* name of person the Foundation may contact for further information

Other supplemental materials, such as a more comprehensive proposal, narrative and line item budgets and an annual report or audit may be requested after review of the preliminary inquiry. Telephone calls to discuss potential projects are also welcome.

Grants are only made to those projects operating within the United States and only to public charity organizations and educational institutions, as officially recognized by the IRS.
