About the Journal

In 2007, Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. assumed publication of Medical Acupuncture, the official journal of the AAMA. All members of the Academy receive a print subscription and online access to Medical Acupuncture as a benefit of their membership. This bi-monthly, peer-reviewed journal is written for physicians, by physicians. The journal presents authoritative, evidence-based clinical papers, case reports and research findings that integrate concepts from traditional and modern forms of acupuncture with Western medical training. This multidisciplinary publication covers the efficacy and safety of acupuncture in pain relief, cancer, stroke, pulmonology, urology, OB/GYN, gastroenterology and much more.

Medical Acupuncture is a journal with an international scope, focusing on the evolving specialty of medical acupuncture. The editor welcomes articles on all aspects of medical acupuncture, including research, education, clinical practice, technology, policy, ethics, law, schools of thought, history, and related disciplines.

AAMA members can fully access the online Medical Acupuncture journals through the AAMA website. The online journal includes CME articles, which members can access at no charge, and back-issue content through 2007.
