Congratulations to our colleagues who authored the research papers selected as winners in the AAMA’s annual research competition. While the 2020 Annual Symposium was canceled due to the world conditions related to Covid-19, the submissions had been reviewed by the Committee prior to the meeting cancellation. We want to CELEBRATE the efforts and work of these colleagues and recognize them as winners of the 2020 Research Paper Competition!

Medical Acupuncture Research Foundation Grant - Update

Earlier this year, the AAMA was proud to announce the creation of the prestigious Medical Acupuncture Research Foundation (MARF) Pilot Grant. In honor of one of the Academy’s Founding Fathers, the Grant was renamed the Allen McDaniels Grant, Medical Acupuncture Research Foundation.

The goal is to award 1 grant each year to the qualified applicant for an amount up to $30,000. This is available to all current AAMA members. The foundation accepted applications through January 30, 2020. The applications received by that date were reviewed and authors contacted.

While the grant selection/funding was to be announced at the 2020 Annual Symposium in April in Orlando, due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, the Symposium was canceled for 2020. The announcement of grant selection/funding will be done at a later time past the original dates of the Symposium (April 23-26, 2020) – more information will be available soon.
